Sky Watch Friday in Corsicana & Austin

I missed yesterday's post due to travels without my trusty jump-drive, left cozily sitting by the home computer. So, I give you a two-fer today! Obviously the first is in Corsicana. I love this water tower. It's on the east edge of town and looks different depending on the time of day, weather, or crops in the field around it. I may start a series! The 2nd shot was taken on my way home yesterday as I sat through a traffic signal 3 times in afternoon rush-hour traffic! Have a great weekend, everyone! But first click over to WiggersWorld to see more Sky Watch Friday posts!

Beautiful blue sky. I love the perspectives.

That's a great composition! The curve and angle make me think of how I feel when I'm on the highway! God bless.

The photo taken under the highway bridge haves a very impressive angle ... quite unique!

Love them both, but the second one is AWESOME! Living in the middle of nowhere like I do, I don't see too many views like that! :)

Mine's up at Prairie Visions!

I like the water tower too but because it looks like a medieval watch tower. I would hate to drive on that elevated highway in the dead of winter with ice on the road.

Abe, once again you've made me look at something differently! I've always thought the water tower was one of the most modern structures in town, but I can certainly see what you see now! Fortunately, ice is rarely a problem in Austin. But they shut these ramps down when we have ice!
Everyone, thanks for your visits and comments!

A pair of great pictures for us today.. love the tower.. not something we have many of in the UK... andthe ones we have are nothing like these.. the roadways is a stunner.. I do like this shot.

Thanks for joining in again with Sky Watch and for being apart of the fun.. Sky Watch is only as good as the people that post, visit, and comment.

have never seen any structure like the first one with the town name on it. It's a fantastic. Loud and Proud. The second is a really interesting shot. hat swop round underneath against the sky is wonderful.

Pictures of water tower always give a good and unusal shot. We have in fact no more water towers in France.
Your Highway ribbon makes me become aware of the technology to build such edifice. Very interesting shot. Fortunately you get always your camera.

Lake Lady, sorry I missed visiting on SWF, but 200 participants was just a bit overwhelming; life needs to go on hold once in awhile just for a blog visitation day.

Re: your comment on Weekend Sailing ... I'm wondering how you can be jealous or envious with a name such as yours?

Thanks for your visit :)

"Louis" is checking in a little late here for SWF. That Corisicana water tower looks more like the water towers "Louis" saw when he was living in France than the water towers he grew up with on the Texas Panhandle. In France, water towers are called château de l'eau, water castle.

Interesting perspective in your under-the-freeway shot!
